HireQuip, in conjunction with Fulton Hogan, Greenstone Energy and Toyota have recently donated a new Toyota van to the Wellington City Mission.
With three branches in the greater Wellington area, HireQuip believe it was a great opportunity to assist the local community for the support customers have given HireQuip during the last 20 years of operation.
The new vehicle will be used by the Wellington City mission to help transport clients to and from the vast number of programmes and services they offer to the community.
The Wellington City Mission is a backbone in the wider Wellington community and is always there to help in times of crisis. The missions key stone foundations are to help people who want to change from dependency to independent living, assisting the lonely, the insecure, and the vulnerable.
Some of the services the Wellington City Mission provide:
- Alternative Education programmes to youth
- Home and food resources to families
- Personal Support Service to assist people to become more independent
- Home visiting and advocacy services to seniors
- Rest home and Meals on Wheels services amongst the community.
