One of the mixed teams teeing off and another participating in one of the Par 3 hole challenges during HireQuip's Golf Day at the Coringa Golf course.

A full field of 144 golfers turned out on a typically blustery Canterbury day for the inaugural HireQuip Golf Day.
The Southern region was well covered with clients coming from all over the island, not only to take on the Coringa Golf Course but support HireQuip's chosen charity, Cure Kids.
The day began with some entering the putting competition, professional coaching and a barbecue. Before long, players were on the course in mixed teams, enjoying the company and competing for an impressive array of prizes.
The two Cure Kids target holes proved popular, with players backing their ability to take on the Par 3 holes and donating almost $2000 in the process.
Thanks to the generosity of many of our suppliers, the prize giving was a massive affair, with the top 16 teams receiving prizes and Darryl Norrish from Timaru leading the charge for the wooden spoon prize!
A Charity Auction of over 15 lots was also held. Many popular lots drew spirited bidding and with encouragement from CEO turned auctioneer Brian Stephen, over $5000 was extracted from players wallets for Cure Kids.
Fantastic day - thanks to all of our clients for attending. Feedback from players showed their appreciation and many were keen to confirm their attendance for next year's tournament! |
