Hirequip are the sole hire equipment specialists to one of the largest and most prestigious annual Equestrian Events in the Southern Hemisphere.

With a competition involving 2,600 horses, 1800 riders, and over 70,000 spectators, Hirequip provides a large range of infrastructure to cater for the needs of this large event including:

• The provision and assembly oft 35 marquees covering over 7,000 sq mtrs
• Providing reticulate power to the 150 trade and 1,000 horse floats on site
• Assembly of approximately 1km of fencing and supply and sourcing of 720 toilets

The New Zealand Horse of the Year Event continues to grow in prestige and stature not only within New Zealand, where it is now recognised as one of the main annual sporting events, but also on the World Equestrian Stage where it has now become one of the premier events. Although dominated by Showjumping and Dressage, the Show is now home to 17 different Equestrian Disciplines all competing on the beautiful 100 acres of the Hawke’s Bay Showgrounds.

Holding this prestigious event generates in excess of $27 million in revenue to the Hawkes Bay region. In addition, free to air television, helps to make this show more attractive to the competitor, sponsor and spectator, as well as the viewing public.
