Health & Safety Policy

 

HireQuip is committed to achieving a safe and healthy workplace for our staff, customers, contractors and visitors.

To put this policy into practice our Health and Safety initiatives include:

TRAINING

Training all employees in Health and Safety responsibilities and safe work procedures. Also ensuring managers have a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements and their role in achieving and influencing high standards of compliance and performance.

STAFF INVOLVEMENT

Encouraging employees to participate in the development of Health and Safety initiatives and procedures.

HAZARDS

Identifying, assessing and managing Health and Safety hazards, so that they are eliminated or controlled in a way that meets or exceeds relevant legal requirements.

SAFETY GEAR

Providing safety equipment and personal protective equipment.

REPORTING

Reporting and investigation of incidents that have potential for harm or have caused injury or illness must be actioned within 24 hours of the occurrence.

SUPPORT

upporting safe and early return to work and rehabilitation after injury.

PLANNING

Planning and holding practice drills for possible emergency situations.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Holding people accountable in all parts of the company for their own safe actions and for their responsibility for the safety of others in their area of accountability.

IMPROVEMENT

Continuously reviewing Health and Safety performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. To ensure this policy remains relevant to our needs we will regularly review and update this policy and all related HireQuip Health and Safety plans and procedures.
